Cooperation in the Global South: Insights from the 14th KMS-UGOT Workshop
Renato Salvatteci recently took part in the 14th KMS-UGOT Workshop on Cooperation in the Global South, hosted by the Centre for Sea and Society (University of Gothenburg) and Kiel Marine Science (KMS). The workshop aimed to explore collaborative projects with partners in the Global South, featuring four speakers who shared their experiences.
Renato, coordinator of the Humboldt Tipping Project, took this opportunity to present the project’s second phase and share the potentials and challenges of working with partners from the Global South, in our case, Peru. His presentation emphasized the crucial role of these partnerships, which was echoed by the other speakers.
The workshop facilitated lively discussions and an exchange of insights, providing participants with valuable perspectives, and fostering the exchange of ideas.
Thanks for organizing this interesting workshop, KMS and Centre for Sea and Society! And thanks also to all the speakers for sharing your experiences of collaboration across geographical boundaries.
